What type of request is this?

New tool idea

Clear and concise description of the feature you are proposing

I would like an easy way to add a file (ideally simple MD) that can be rendered. The primary purpose is to provide site-local links, company-specific websites, etc.

I think I would have a slight preference to import a local file that would be persisted by it-tools, however a single page for manual entry of MD would do the job.

(sorry if I have over-looked it, I don't see anything like this as I look at the GUI)

Is their example of this tool in the wild?

A similar example is the "user home page" that can be setup in Atlassian Confluence tools. In my experience the most common utilization of this is to capture links that the user frequently needs, or are common to the site.

Additional context

Thanks - marvelous tool!!!

Validations

  • Check the feature is not already implemented in the project.
  • Check that there isn't already an issue that request the same feature to avoid creating a duplicate.
  • Check that the feature can be implemented in a client side only app (IT-Tools is client side only, no server).

Hi @joseph-mueller, I will try to integrate this in my fork (probably only do-able in docker image via volume file mount in some public predefined directory and fetched at runtime), markdown syntax, integrating in home page may be instead of tool cards.
