Is it possible to utilise xDebug for development purposes?

Reading in to the Static PHP does it seems possible but may require different binaries? https://static-php.dev/en/guide/extension-notes.html#xdebug

It would require building custom binaries. But you'd also need to take care to figure out how to disable xdebug in production builds.
