athena-client: how to set the profile to use

I am working on a tool to query Athena databases. I need to be able to change the profile and not use the default or env profile.

I am able to get the credentials from the ini file, but I don't see any parameters or properties on the Athena client to set the profile.

const sharedConfig = await awscredentials.loadSharedConfigFiles();
const credential = sharedConfig.credentialsFile[profile];
const client = new awsathena.AthenaClient();

I have found a work around. However, I would ave thought the object returned by the credentialsFile[profile] would with any/all client objects :(
