send button is not enabled in AI chat even everything is configured with agents and models

I’m experiencing an issue with enabling the "Send" icon in the chat.

Initially, I downloaded the updated version of Theia IDE (1.59.0) and tested my setup there. Afterward, I upgraded the versions in my local copy of Theia IDE, which I use regularly.

I enabled the AiEnable option, then configured the custom GitHub model in the OpenAiModels section of the settings.json file. In the AI Configuration View, I set the identifier for the Coder Agent. I then selected the agent in the chat and entered my prompt.

These steps worked successfully in the downloaded version of Theia IDE, where I received a response. However, in my local setup, the "Send" button is not clickable.

Could you please assist me in resolving the issue where the "Send" button in the chat is not clickable in my local setup of Theia IDE? Despite following the same configuration steps as the working downloaded version, the issue persists. Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hi @sowjanyagunupuru, does it work if you disable and reenable the "Enable AI" preference? If yes, then this issue will be fixed in the upcoming 1.60 release.

Yes, I tried reloading the window, resetting all the configurations, and even deleted the settings.json file. After that, I added it back fresh. I also checked for any syntax errors using an online formatter, but it still isn't working as expected compared to the downloaded version.

Are you able to debug? You should debug here, here and here to see why the models are not created.
