Theia IDE 1.60.1 preview testing

The new version 1.60.1 of the Theia IDE is available on the preview channel now. Please join the preview testing! You can download it here: Linux, Mac X86, Mac ARM Windows. Update your existing installation by setting the preference updates.channel to preview. Please respond here when you can test the preview without finding blockers, by commenting with a ✔️. If you find any issues, please mention them in this thread and report them as an issue once confirmed by other testers.

Upgrading my 1.59 ARM Mac build using the Electron Updater mechanism didn't work; I had do replace the app with a new DMG download.

This checks the ide (stable) channel instead of ide-preview, and there is no arm build so far.

This seems like a bug in the updater could you maybe debug, why it thinks it should look at that channel, when looking for the update? It also seems to look for version 1.60.0 at the top and then as a 4 day jump in the log 🤔

An update toast popped up on Friday but I was doing other work, so I ignored it until today (Monday). So that's the four-day jump in the log.

The updater is not yet expected to work for the arm build. It should "work" for the update from 1.60.0 to 1.61.1, but then you would download the regular x86 build, due to a bug in the IDEs Updater. Witht he next patch release we will fix this. From that version on then the updates should work as expected.

The Git Graph plugin is broken, which worked before. So this is due to #15418
Otherwise works for me.

Other than the known issues, I haven't found anything new.

Theia IDE 1.60.100 is available. Once this version is on the stable channel the update mechanism for the arm build should also work.
