The Cursor code editor, downloaded as an AppImage from https://downloader.cursor.sh/linux/appImage/x64 on Ubuntu 22.04 (Jammy Jellyfish), does not update correctly. Specifically:

Non-Functional In-App Updater: The application displays an "Update Now" button in the bottom left corner. However, clicking this button causes the application to restart without actually downloading or installing any updates. The "Update Now" button remains present after the restart, indicating the update process has failed silently.

Manual Reinstallation ain't the solution either because it would the same older version again
