Proposed solution

It would be great if we could control projects through this MCP.

To expand on this issue and its needs.

It would be great to have it point to projects as they are often the source of structure across repositories and issues. While the current APIs only support repos and issues. But projects lets us query a project format and structure with lots of potentially interssting data for the AI.

Classic projects API was deprecated https://github.blog/changelog/2024-05-23-sunset-notice-projects-classic/ so one needs to use GraphQL API.

go-github client library suggests

If you're interested in using the GraphQL API v4, the recommended library is shurcooL/githubv4.

Second this. We also use projects extensively, and getting support for adding issues directly to a project would be great.
