Quiz: Set up and pilot remote usability testing

A quick round of usability tests on the home-page quiz might surface some actionable feedback, to modify the feature and improve the odds of getting clear and meaningful results from the quiz initiative as a whole. It would great to engage a service soon, to have this capability on tap. The dreaded "guerilla" method may be required in this case, though, to avoid blocking launch for more than two or three days.

Monday 19 Aug

• Write a usability test script for the quiz: Done. Comments welcome! @ericronne
• Put out a Calendly invite call for volunteers, via slack & IRC @ericronne

Tues 20 Aug

• Write a research/test plan to encompass both this exercise and the overall project (@jessicaschilling, @ericronne, @cwaring). This effort is being tracked in issue Q3 2019 OKRs: Research/test plan (umbrella issue) #207.

Wednesday 21 Aug

• Publish the quiz at a hidden url @cwaring

Thu 22 Aug

• Execute as many as 10 tests, in 30-minute sessions (test itself should only take about 15 mins) @ericronne (Plus note takers, please! 🙏 Leave a comment on this issue to volunteer.)

Fri 23 Aug

• Distill notes and produce summary report (can be via zoom collaboration, or async by @ericronne / others)

• Implement changes in code @cwaring and @jessicaschilling

@ericronne -- I'll take notes on whatever sessions I can on Thursday, schedule-wise. :)

As for a test/research plan -- let's use existing issue #207 for this. I think it should be a collaborative effort between you, myself, and @cwaring, since we each have different (though overlapping) things we'd like to get out of a test effort. I'll start a document here - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1c2TFeXLFW29a8HYwUq6K9-n8fDg2WhERRIi1CWHMC-8/edit - but let's track work on it in #207 if you don't mind. Thanks!

@ericronne -- I think the only thing outstanding before we close this issue is to produce a summary report of the interviews ... particularly so we can return to it later to dig deeper into some of the larger issues we uncovered that we'll want to return to in a more thorough homepage rework. Are you still OK with writing up that report, in exchange for my coding changes? ;) Thanks!
