Deleting files in multiple panes #2020

What is more concerning is that if you have multiple nnn sessions opened they share exact same NNN_SEL by default, but indicator is not set.
At bottom left there's indicator of how many selected files. Why would delete behave differently than copy? There's option to delete |

They all just operate on the selection. There's no special logic. For "safety" it's recommended that you use a trash-bin program and set |

Subject: Deleting files in multiple panes
I just ran into a rather unpleasant surprise with nnn-5.1
I was going to copy a couple of files - and selected them in pane 1
then I switched to pane 2 - and navigated to the destination folder - only to discover that it contained some files that were not supposed to be there...
so I selected the misplaced files in pane 2 - and pressed 'x' to delete those...
well the misplaced files in pane 2 were deleted for sure - but so was the selected files (for copying) in pane 1 :-/
I know that copy and move works across panes - but honestly I would have thought that "delete" only worked on the pane in focus (as a safety mechanism)
It is rather risky if you get side-tracked by some unexpected event (and as I try to describe above destroy the data that I was about to copy)
Maybe it would be good with an option limit the scope of delete to one pane - or the opposite broaden the scope delete to multi pane ?
Thanks in advance
