Describe the bug
Every time mpv is closed to end a watch session, macOS treats mpv as having been closed unexpectedly which causes a warning popup.

To Reproduce

  1. Run jellyfin-mpv-shim
  2. Connect and start playing
  3. Close stream /mpv with q

Expected behavior
mpv closes gracefully

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: macOS Sequoia 15.3.1
    • mpv 0.39.0 (brew install, but happens when using libmpv as well)
