standard mode calculation display

why is such calculation display not used in standard mode? is there any way to change this??

who in the world thought this was more convenient?

and no, i dont want to use scientific mode just to have my second grade ariphmetics displayed adequately. the scientific layout is too overloaded for a regular non-math-enjoyer and the scaling is less comfortable due to the amount of elements in it. this needs to be improved
