Plans for calling directly from Go?

I looked and couldn't find a reference. Are there any plans to expose the API as a Go module / package? (as opposed to IPC)

I have a Go based build system and I'd love to be able to link the project directly without running an extra process.

I'd be open to contributing if there is interest but it's not currently a priority.
