Porting to python

I would be down to contribute to this project by helping porting it to Python. I do not feel like I can contribute anything meaningful in Java as I do not have a lot of experience with it. Additionally I think that having a python implementation would make the project much more accessible for beginners.

Please let me know what you think of this idea :)

Yeah, I think that would be the best way to do this.
I’ll try to stay as close to your implementation as feasible considering the differences between java and python as I think that writing two very different implementations would be kind of confusing. Just hit me up if you have any questions or remarks.

I probably will not be able to work on this a lot tho, as I am currently working on a term paper about my own compiler project which will count a lot towards my grade. I’ll try my best to be active :D.

Thank you, that indeed helped. I have now created the repo along with an Apache license, a rudimentary README and the python .gitignore template, but i’m going to sleep now. I will start working on it tomorrow.
