@lcrmorin I suggest you use the search engine to find other GitHub Discussions on this matter; there are quite a few and be sure to read the relevant documentation. |

@mcanouil I went trough most of the discussion / documentation. Most of the discussions offer solutions for producing html (and entering using css). While the documentation generally advise to go trough a word template. It seems some styles are lacking from said template and there is not enough documentation to replace them. So I'd like some precision about word template usage. Word formatting seems to usually rely on a Word template. Currently the word template seems to be missing a caption style we could customise. (After that there seems to be problems for the caption style to be applied to word documents but this is not the topic). And for defining captions styles in a word template, I would have liked to see some list of what style quarto will apply to what (is the Word style applied to quarto captions 'Caption Style' ? 'caption style' ? 'Image caption' ? etc.). |

Bug description
I had trouble centering image and table captions. (May be it is just me, but I honestly don't get who in its right mind think its better to have both figures / tables and their captions left aligned by default.).
It seems that the default word template provided by quarto lacks image and table caption styles.
Steps to reproduce
quarto pandoc -o custom-reference-doc.docx --print-e reference.default-data-fildocx
Then open the word document.
