Is there any fix for windows 8.1 to run WSL on it?

I'm currently using windows 8.1 and cannot upgrade to windows 10 due to system limitations.

It would be helpful to know if there are any workaround possible 👍

If the system limitations come. Have a pendrive then download the windows 10 from any website like getintopc or softonic. After downloading, Use the rufus app to boot the pendrive with the windows 10. Then manually you can boot it to windows 10

Getintopc is the worst thing you could reccomend. Archive org is probably the best thing imo

There's now a mini Windows 11 version called Tiny11, which should run smoother even on an old system.

Though, you can always move to a linux distro yourself :)
Lubuntu and Xubuntu has good support for old hardware.
