Dialog's onClose() from @headlessui/react is redundant

It seems like Dialog's onClose() property which is now required can be safely made optional here:
https://github.com/tailwindlabs/headlessui/blob/main/packages/%40headlessui-react/src/components/dialog/dialog.tsx#L345

For example, in my project I don't call it but still I have to fill it:

  <Dialog
        open={state === 'add'}
        onClose={() => {}}
      >
      ....

I don't really see how I could use it.
