One part of https://github.com/xamarin/maccore/issues/726 is sufficient msbuild support to unblock our testing initiatives. This task will include a "punchlist" of what is needed for that.

IDE \ configuration specific issue will rest in xamarin/maccore#726

  • XM Support
  • XI Simulator Support
  • XI Device Support
  • Handle swift library with other swift library dependencies (pass type-database-path correctly)
  • Use swift-stdlib-tool
  • Stop requiring manual SwiftRuntimeLibrary reference
  • Stop using XamWrapping, using $(InputLib)Binding
  • Configuration options
    • Where output should go
    • Binding name
    • Additional type database locations
    • Retain binding code
    • Retain reflection XML
    • Unicode mapping file
    • Verbose
